The Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau has named Brenda Newbern executive director. Newbern formerly was a sales manager for MidAmerica Hotels Corp. in Cape Girardeau, and has worked in customer service and office operations for retailers and manufacturers. She also previously served as a group tour manager for the CVB.
Mindy Lallier has been named director of sales and services at the Overland Park Convention and Visitors Bureau in Kansas. She joined the CVB in 2003 and formerly served as a senior sales manager. Previously, she worked for a hotel management company and for the Hotel Thayer at West Point, N.Y.
