WE’RE REOPENING: Missouri State Penitentiary

May 21, 2020

The Missouri State Penitentiary will begin welcoming back guests beginning Monday, June 1. The facility is committed to the health of visitors and staff and has been working carefully to implement new protocols to ensure a safe environment for all.

During the reopening phase, the MSP will perform enhanced disinfection procedures, abide by social distancing guidelines, and restrict tour capacities at the facility and the MSP museum. In addition to limited tour capacities, MSP’s health and safety measures include 6 feet social distancing markers placed in high-traffic areas, hand sanitizing stations positioned around the facility, and it will be highly encouraged that staff and guests wear face coverings while in the MSP buildings.

Due to limited tour capacity, guests are strongly encouraged to purchase their tour tickets in advance at MissouriPenTours.com. It is also requested individuals bring their signed tour waiver with them to reduce contact during check-in.

Guests can review the health and safety measures on the MissouriPenTours.com website.
