Missouri Travel Council (MTC) Changes Name to Missouri Travel Alliance (MTA)

The Missouri travel industry organization previously known as Missouri Travel Council (MTC) changed its name to Missouri Travel Alliance (MTA).

According to Chuck Martin, Executive Director of Missouri Travel Council, the new name more clearly represents the organization’s target audience. “Missouri Travel Council didn’t reflect who the organization is today. “Council” has become a term most associated with government committees and bureaucracy… Our new name reflects our strategic directive to serve our partners. We are an alliance, not a council… We needed a name that better conveyed the priorities of what we stand for.”

Along with rebranding the organization’s name, Missouri Travel Council adapted a new logo that illustrates the union of Missouri’s statewide travel industry. “Our new visual identity represents an evolution, not a departure from our past. The abstract design of intersecting lines in five bold colors symbolizes our five regions. These lines represent the businesses across the state that make up Missouri’s travel industry coming together to form Missouri,” Martin elaborates.
