Recap: Savor for Students at the Ritz Carlton St. Louis

On Thursday, August 30th, hundreds of people descended upon the Ritz Carlton in St. Louis, MO for the second annual Savor for Students Non-Profit Tasting Event. Leading chefs and culinary stars from the mid-west region and beyond presented their specialty dishes and interacted with attendees in order to raise money for Lift for Life Academy.

Michelle Hoog with Chef Gerard Craft of Niche Food Group. His station was serving summer bruschetta, ricotta, charred corn, and cherry tomato basil.













Chef Nathaniel Reid (right), of Nathaniel Reid Bakery pictured with another chef from his team.  They were serving strawberry-passionfruit pavlova with yogurt chantilly.















Chef Kenny Hayden, representing Lift for Life Academy (the school to which the proceeds from this event were donated), served pan seared Indian-spiced shrimp with coconut basmati rice and a red curry sauce.







Christie Pink, Director of Sales for the Ritz Carlton, with Chef Antonio Park from Park Restaurant, and Michelle Hoog enjoyed Park’s take on the Black Angus nigiri with chimichurri and fried shallots alongside kombu jime and seabass ceviche with chicharron, dwarf peaches, and guacamole.
