New Ownership for Embassy Suites Overland Park–First Constructed in the Nation

Encore Hospitality LLC, which is headquartered in Dallas, TX purchased the  Embassy Suites by Hilton Kansas City Overland Park. The property, which was the first Embassy Suites to be constructed in the United States,  originally opened in 1984.

The President of Encore Hospitality, Glenn Pederson, is optimistic about the future of the new acquisition. “Our company believes that once our property improvement plan has been implemented, the property will be poised to secure its position as a market leader,” he stated.

Encore Hospitality is a subsidiary of Encore Enterprises Inc., some of their current projects include a 140-room Aloft Hotel inside a mixed-use development in Atlanta and a $9 million upgrade at Pinnacle Tower in Dallas.
