The expansion is the fourth of a series of renovations by the Osage Nation since 2011, and ensures that the Tulsa hotel and casino will continue to significantly contribute to the funding of tribal government services (gaming venues in Oklahoma alone account for more than 90% of funds, with the Tulsa Casino contributing 44% of income for the entire gaming enterprise). As CEO Byron Bighorse says, “This is an economic development revenue source for the tribe that is critical.”
The Osage Nation owns and operates six other casinos in Oklahoma, including Osage Casino Bartlesville, Osage Casino Hominy, Osage Casino Pawhuska, Osage Casino Ponca City, Osage Casino Sand Springs and Osage Casino Skiatook.
