Ben Edison has been named executive corporate chef for the Delta Queen Steamboat Co., and also will launch the company’s Port of Call restaurant in Kimmswick. Edison formerly served as executive chef for the Demun Oyster Bar.
Joining him is new executive sous chef Paul Holthaus, formerly of J. McArthur’s in south St. Louis. Edison and Holthaus plan to present historic recipes from the steamboat’s earlier days, as well as French-inspired lunch and dinner offerings.
The Port of Call is slated to open in May 2016, and the Delta Queen is expected to begin cruising the Mississippi in spring 2017.
