Industry Update: Springfield Welcomes New Hotel to Downtown Area

This past summer saw the addition of a new 50-unit hotel to Springfield’s city center, transforming a 109-year-old commercial building in to elegant lodging replete with modern comforts. The Hotel Vandivort open its doors to the public in mid-2015, and features meeting spaces that planners will want to experience:

The Vandivort Ballroom measures 2,800 square feet and can accommodate 200 guests in banquet, reception or theater layouts.

The Cornerstone Room is 850 square feet, with flexible seating for up to 250 square feet and seats up to 12, also on the lobby level.

There is an in-house restaurant, The Order, which provides catering for the meeting spaces. Banquets, buffets, chef’s tables, corporate lunches and dinners, and breakout sessions are just some of the events the new hotel can accommodate.

The Hotel Vandivort, owned by members of the McQueary family, is expected to receive LEED Gold Certification for its eco-friendly design and construction.
