Health care is one of the largest industries in the world, with more than 100,000 health care meetings held in the U.S. per year. With these meetings come a tangled web of laws, regulations and reporting restrictions designed to provide accountability and transparency.
To help medical meeting planners navigate these waters, a brand new Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate program has been created by Saint Louis University’s Center for Workforce and Organizational Development and the International Medical Meeting Professionals Association (IMMPA).
The certificate program is targeted at those involved in planning and reporting transparency and spending, as well as suppliers who provide services and products to the healthcare industry. The benefits of receiving the certificate include:
- Professional recognition
- Personal satisfaction
- An indicator of expertise
- Opportunities for employment advancement
- Increased credibility with clients
IMMPA is a professional, global association formed to better connect healthcare meeting professionals with needed resources. Its objective is to provide consistency in healthcare meeting education, training, networking and supplier referrals. IMMPA maintains an “IQ Center” of comprehensive information, and an endorsement portal that can be referenced by members and non-members.
The Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate is a half-day course offered at Saint Louis University, Missouri Meetings and Events Expos, other industry conferences, and employers’ worksites. For more information, visit www.immpa-med.com.
