Organizations and Associations: Religious Conference Management Association (RCMA)

According to U.S. Census Bureau data, more than 80 percent of the nation’s 313 million residents identify themselves as part of a religious group or sect. That translates into a significant and growing market for faith-based meetings and events.

It’s also the reason behind the Indianapolis-based Religious Conference Management Association, which brings together planners and suppliers and keeps them informed about resources, developments and facilities in the religious meeting arena. RCMA also offers members the option of earning the Certified Meeting Professional designation.

Founded in 1972, the international, multi-faith organization provides membership levels for planners, suppliers, students, and retirees from the industry. It publishes a bi-monthly magazine, Religious Conference Manager, and a monthly electronic newsletter, RCM Extra.

RCMA is holding The 2018 Emerge Conference in January 2018. The 3-day event for planners will be hosted by Visit Omaha, and held in the CenturyLink Center. The event runs from January 30 – February 1, 2018. For more information,
